O-Zell Soda Company
This week I found out something really cool and I wanted to share it with you all. A new brand of Soda is out called O-Zell Soda. Now you’re probably thinking to yourself, “But Vince this website is supposed to be about Disney stuff right? Why are you going on about a new soda?” Well, you’re right, this blog is dedicated to Disney and Disney Memories. This soda happens to be both! You see, way back when Walt and Roy where younger their father Elias Disney invested quite a bit of money into the original O-Zell Company. It was even a family affair as both Walt and Roy worked on the factory floor doing various jobs. For instance Walt washed jars, pulped apples, and packed cartons. The president of that company turned out to be a crook and the product never made it to the hands of the public. Consequently this left Elias in quite the lurch with nothing to show for it. Fast forward 100 years later. Brent Young, Dina Benadon, and Robert Coker have re-launched the brand, finally making it to the market with the help of The Walt Disney Birthplace Restoration group putting the Soda on the preverbal shelf so now the public can buy their own bubbly goodness! Here are the two flavors available now: Root Beer and Vanilla Dream.
They also seem like they are having a blast with this product because all over O-Zell web site they’re using lingo from the early 1900s and even came up with this great little jingle. Take a listen:
I love that jingle! It’s just so much fun! So if you get a hankerin’ to try these new Soda’s let us know what you think! We’d love to hear from you!
