Iiii’m….hooked on a feeling!!!
And that feeling is “WOAH!!!!” It’s that time again, folks! Time for me, your resident movie buff, to bring you more Movie Town News! This time I’m bringing the scoop on Marvel’s newest amazing adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy. Now, trust me when I say that that feeling I told you about, you know, “WOAH!!!!”, is the understatement of the century. This movie is a non-stop thriller with tons of action, laughs, adventure, flying, shooting, space, aliens, flying, laughs, craziness……..did I mention laughs or flying? Cause there’s a plethora of both. This movie brings to you a great cast of stars, including Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillian, Bradley Cooper, Vince Diesel, and so many more. And each of these stars fully delivers an absolutely incredible performance in their roles, making this a must see film!!!
So how about the story and plot? Well, for those of you that are not avid graphic novel readers and are unfamiliar with the Guardians, let me give you a crash course on them. The very first Guardians of the Galaxy were formed and created in January 1969. The movie has an original take on the formation of the team and their individual members. The main protagonist, Peter Quill otherwise known as Starlord, is taken from Earth at a young age to go galavanting through space and later become a Ravager, or thief for hire. But when a seriously dangerous intergalactic being, Ronan, threatens the peaceful society of Nova and the entire galaxy, Starlord teams up with a ragtag bunch of misfits including a giant walking tree, Groot, a genetically altered raccoon, Rocket, a stealthy and highly trained assassin, Gamora, and a psychopath, Drax. This group of misfits has an incredible task before them, wrought with peril and dangers along the way. Wondering if they can save the galaxy and stop Ronan? The only way to find out is to go see it for yourself.
So now for my real opinion of the movie. This is an incredibly awesome movie that sci-fi junkies like me will love!! It’s got so much going on in the movie, it’s sure to have something to entertain everyone. It’s a great movie that I personally will enjoy seeing over and over. Be warned though, there is some graphic language in the film that may not be considered suitable for little ears. The good thing is that it’s not a lot and it’s spread out throughout the movie. So all-in-all I feel that this is a great movie that is not to be missed! And I’m giving it two baby Groots way up!! Oh! And speaking of Groot, one of the wonderful lessons this film taught me is a million and one excellent uses for your common household Groot! Let us know what uses you find in the film and what you think of them.
Oh! And as is customary for all Marvel movies, wait around until after the credits for the final scene. 80’s movie fans, try and see if you recognize the incredibly unexpected and surprise guest that makes a cameo. If you do, let us know what you thought about this guest.
For MouseVENTURES, I’m your resident movie buff, Zach, signing off and saying have a great time at the movies!
